When I was a master course student, I studied protein biochemistry using proteomics technic at Tokyo Metropolitan University. I received Ph.D. in Department of Cellular Genetics of the National Institute of Genetics (NIG) under the supervision of Dr. Tamotsu Yoshimori. The research theme of doctor course was the molecular mechanism of autophagosome formation (one of the membrane traffic). In October 2010, I was appointed as an assistant professor of Dr. Izumi’s lab in Institute for Molecular and Cellular Regulation, Gunma University, where I have started research of "regulated exocytosis". In particular, I am interested in molecular mechanism and membrane dynamics of insulin granule exocytosis from pancreatic beta cells.
